Due date plus 11 days

The doctor's appointment this morning went well. They did an ultrasound to make sure there is still enough amniotic fluid for the baby and they checked the baby's heart rate and everything looked fine. We have an appointment scheduled for Tuesday when they will induce labor unless the baby decides to come out before then.

Due date plus 10 days

We have an appointment tomorrow at 9.45 AM at the Special Prenatal Care at the Maternity Clinic at SÖS. They will do an ultrasound and make sure everything looks fine and probably give us an appointment to come back on Monday to induce the labor if the baby isn't here by then.

Due date plus 9 days

Still no baby.... The good news is that the wrist braces that I bought yesterday helped a lot, so my hands and fingers felt better when I woke up today. My fingers are still numb, but I could bend them as soon as I woke up and before it took me a couple of hours before I could do that.

We just ordered this cute Bamse baby gym for the baby. The cat will probably enjoy playing with it until the baby arrives! :-)

Due date plus 8 days

Still no sign of the baby. I went to Sickla Köpkvarter to the pharmacy there and bought this wrist brace to help with the carpal tunnel syndrome in my hands. Hopefully this will prevent me from bending my hands/wrists at night which will - hopefully - make my hands and fingers feel better.

Due date plus 7 days

I had an appointment with my midwife today and everything is fine with both me and the baby. We have to go to the hospital for an ultrasound on Friday if the baby doesn't want to come out before then. On Friday they will also schedule an appointment for next Monday (Sept 1st) when they will start the labor if the baby isn't born yet. Let's hope he or she wants to come out voluntarily before then!

Still no baby

The baby is now five days late and have not yet shown any signs that he or she is ready to move out... We are going out for a long walk now to see if that might help speed things up a bit.

We are still waiting for the baby who is now three days late. I feel good, except for the carpal tunnel syndrome in my hands, and my swollen feet, but we are both anxious for the baby to arrive soon!



I got a nice surprise in the mail today from my third cousin Bonnie in California. She sent us this adorable Pooh outfit and cute Pooh bear for the baby. Bonnie gave birth to twin boys this past weekend so our baby will have two fourth cousins in California who are almost exactly the same age.

I was hoping I wouldn't have to take a "week 41-picture" but still no baby so here is the latest picture of my belly!

Well, today is the due date for the baby but still no sign that he or she is planning on arriving today... I'll keep you updated here when something happens!
