William doesn't really want to sleep during the day because he is afraid he might miss something, but finally he had to give in and take a nap in the afternoon! :-)

Health update

Sorry for not updating the blog lately... I have not been doing very good :( Last week, on Monday the 15th, my c-section wound started bleeding and I had to go to the emergency room. I have an infection in the wound and am now eating antibiotics for two weeks. I also have to go to the nurse at the care centre across the street every day to change the bandage and clean the wound. Yesterday the wound had opened up a bit more so I had to go back to the emergency room once again... Hopefully that was the last time, and now I just hope that it will heal fast. I'll update with pictures etc as soon as I feel better. William is doing great though, he eats a lot and his weight is now 4245 gram and he is 53.7 centimeters long.

First day at home.

William is here!

Our baby boy William was born September 3rd, at 5.55 PM. His lenght was 52 centimeters and his weight 3670 gram.

After about 24 hours of delivery, I ended up having a c-section because my contractions weren't strong enough anymore. I'm still sore from the surgery so that is why I haven't updated the blog until now and why some of you are still waiting to hear the news about William. We spent one week at the hospital and came home this Wednesday and are now adjusting to the new life with William. William is doing great, eating, sleeping and gaining weight!

Due date plus 15 days (week 43)

This is hopefully the last picture of me in this baby blog :-) We hope the next picture is of our baby boy or baby girl instead!
We have an appointment at 2.30 PM today when they will induce labor.
I'll update here as soon as I have Internet access again!

Due date plus 14 days

Still no baby... We went to IKEA today hoping that a lot of walking around there would start the labor but nothing happened. We will call the delivery ward tomorrow at noon and then they will tell us when to come in to get the labor started. I'll try to update here again before we leave for the hospital!
